Mrs. Lyon's class enjoyed playing boomwhackers in music class.

Join us for engaging literacy activities with your students and learn how to support literacy at home. Students in K - 6th will receive free books and the media center will be open for 7th and 8th grade students. Thursday March 5th at Pickens Junior High, Drop in from 5:30 - 7:30. Trucks and Tools, Friday February 13th, was a huge success. We couldn't have pulled this off without the help of our volunteers, PTO, and staff. Thank you all for your dedication to our students.

The School Advisory Council, a team of parents, staff, and community members, meet regularly to help plan, review, and evaluate the Title I program, ensuring federal funds are used effectively to improve student academic achievement. They will be meeting on Thursday, February 12th. If you would like to be a part of this we would love to have you.

School Closure Notice - Monday, January 26, 2026 - Due to the potential for hazardous icy conditions and anticipated power outages across the county, all Pickens County School District schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th. This closure applies to all students and staff. This will not be a digital learning day.

Families are invited to our STEM Night & Student Showcase on Thursday, January 29th! Students can’t wait to share exciting learning experiences and creative projects they’ve been working on. Come celebrate their hard work and creativity with us!
