Monday, March 9th: Swap books with a friend or family member and give it a read! If it’s a chapter book, read the first chapter of their recommendation.
Sunday, March 8th: Find a quiet, cozy spot to read for 20 minutes without interruptions. Did being cozy help you read?
Saturday, March 7th: PICKENS PAGE TURNERS K-6 Celebration at 10:30am at PHS.

Read Across America Character Day! We LOVE this day!
Friday, March 6th: It’s Read Across America Day! Dress like your favorite book character at school!!
A special shout-out to Ezra in Mrs. Dubea's class for excellent boomwhacker performances!
Thursday, March 5th:! It’s FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT!!! K-8 Students join your fellow Dragons at PJHS from 5:30-7:30pm for a night of fun reading activities for everyone!
Wednesday, March 4th: It’s Read Across America Week!Read a book about weather. It can be fiction or non-fiction. Share what you have learned. Tell a friend or family member what made you pick the book.

Tuesday, March 3rd: It’s Read Across America Week! Read any book about a topic you LOVE!!
Join us for engaging literacy activities with your students and learn how to support literacy at home. Students in K - 6th will receive free books and the media center will be open for 7th and 8th grade students. Thursday March 5th at Pickens Junior High, Drop in from 5:30 - 7:30.
