Tate Elementary School

Our students are learning and practicing leadership skills with this month's skill being Habit 3: Put First Things First. This habit requires students to stay focused, prioritize important tasks (work first, then play), and minimize distractions. Students recognized for practicing Habit 3 are: Tanner McFarland Zoie Hall Tate Shostak Payton Hale Makenna Wilson Congratulations students for learning that Putting First Things First is NO-Prob-llama!!

We would like to give a huge shout out to all that attended our STEM Night and Student Showcase. Also a very special thanks to PHS culinary students for the freshly baked cookies and to all of the PHS students who donated their time to help run STEM stations, as well as iThink Financial for coming with lots of goodies. We love having you here and we can't wait until the next event! Parent Involvement is so important and you guys showed out last night!

Good Morning Tate Families, We will be celebrating the 100th day of school this Thursday, January 16th. There have been a few days this year that have modified our number of total days (cancellations for weather) but in an effort to be on the same page as the other schools, we will go ahead and celebrate on Thursday, January 16th.

Due to continued icy roadways in elevated areas, Pickens County Schools will be having a digital learning day tomorrow, January 14th. All staff should report at 9:00 a.m. The District Office will be open.

Due to expected weather conditions, Pickens County Schools and the District Office will be closed on Friday, January 10th. All extra-curricular activities are also canceled both Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th.

The PCSD community will be notified of weather-related closings, delays, or early releases via Infinite Campus, the district website, social media posts on our district page, and various media outlets. These students were recognized by their teachers for practicing Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. Students were caught practicing the skills of: --Making SAFE, Responsible, Proactive Choices --Making a plan and doing the work to achieve it! --When facing a problem or making a poor choice, they make corrections NOT excuses! --They always consider how the choices made NOW will impact the future end goal.
