Our students are learning and practicing leadership skills with this month's skill being Habit 3: Put First Things First. This habit requires students to stay focused, prioritize important tasks (work first, then play), and minimize distractions.

We would like to give a huge shout out to all that attended our STEM Night and Student Showcase. Also a very special thanks to PHS culinary students for the freshly baked cookies and to all of the PHS students who donated their time to help run STEM stations, as well as iThink Financial for coming with lots of goodies.

Attention Fourth Grade Parents..... The deadline for yearbook ads has been extended until January 27th.

We will be celebrating the 100th day of school this Thursday, January 16th. There have been a few days this year that have modified our number of total days (cancellations for weather) but in an effort to be on the same page as the other schools, we will go ahead and celebrate on Thursday, January 16th.


Due to continued icy roadways in elevated areas, Pickens County Schools will be having a digital learning day tomorrow, January 14th. All staff should report at 9:00 a.m. The District Office will be open.

Due to expected weather conditions, Pickens County Schools and the District Office will be closed on Friday, January 10th. All extra-curricular activities are also canceled both Friday, January 10th and Saturday, January 11th.
