Tate and Hill City Elementary Schools have been named 2026 Title I Reward Schools, a prestigious recognition of the progress and achievement taking place in both schools. This honor is a reflection of the commitment and hard work of the schools’ educators, students and families.

Title I Reward Schools are identified as the top 5% of Title I schools in Georgia making the most progress in improving the performance of all students. The distinction is based on a comparison of content mastery scores from the most recent two years of reported data on statewide assessments.

Being included on this list is a remarkable achievement that highlights effective teaching, strong leadership and a shared commitment to student success at both Tate Elementary School and Hill City Elementary School.

"We are incredibly proud of this recognition, but even more proud of the students and the educators whose hard work made it possible," said Dr. Travis Thomas, Superintendent of Pickens County School District.
