Thursday, March 19th: Write a letter or quick note to the main character of your book. Have a parent help you write your letter, if you need it. What would you say to your favorite character?

Tuesday, March 17th: Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! Celebrate this day by reading about Ireland, traditions of the Irish, leprechauns, or finding a pot of gold. Can’t find a book about St. Patty’s Day? Try writing a creative short story about a St. Patty’s Day character!

Due to the timing of anticipated severe weather and to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families, all schools in the Pickens County School District and the district office will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Sunday, March 15th: Read a recipe and help make a meal!

Saturday, March 14th: Read a book or article about a new place. Your book could be about another state or county, another time period, even a fictional place.
