Dale Spencer, Assistant Principal
My name is Dale Spencer, I am honored and proud to be serving as Tate’s assistant principal. Originally, I am from Cibolo, Texas. I am a double graduate of Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Education in 2009. In July of 2018 I earned my Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University. I started my teaching career in Texas, where I was a remediation teacher for 8th grade Biology and 6th grade Math, along with 4th grade ELA and Math and 5th grade Math. In Pickens County I was the EIP teacher for 5th grade in 2015 at Tate Elementary
Before I started my career in education I served 10 years in the Navy as a construction mechanic in the Seabees. I then worked as a shop manager of a handicap conversion company that makes it possible for individuals with disabilities to operate vehicles. Finally, I am the author of a children’s book called “Counting Connor” in which I wrote about my grandson. My wife, Shannon, and I have two daughters and five grandchildren. My oldest daughter resides in Colorado while my youngest is residing in Texas.
My goal is to assist in creating a shared vision for all the students, faculty, parents, and members of the Pickens County community. I believe in gathering input and the knowledge from all stakeholders to create a collaborative environment where our students can achieve beyond their expectations.
